Drew Barber is vice president and general counsel for Collins Aerospace. In this role, he oversees and provides leadership and guidance on all legal matters, including contracts, litigation, global compliance and ethics, intellectual property and international trade compliance.

Drew transitioned to Collins from RTX where he served as chief of staff to RTX’s former CEO, Greg Hayes, and was a primary advisor to Hayes and his senior leadership team.

Since joining the company in 2014, Drew has held a variety of leadership roles, including as an associate general counsel for United Technologies Corporation (UTC) where he played a key role in various transactions, including UTC’s sale of Sikorsky to Lockheed Martin, UTC’s acquisition of Rockwell Collins and UTC’s merger with Raytheon. Drew also served as associate general counsel & executive director of Pratt & Whitney’s Commercial Engines Contracts business.

Before joining RTX, he worked as a mergers & acquisitions associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP and served as a law clerk for the U.S. District Court in Hartford, Connecticut.

Drew received his J.D. with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law and his B.S. in Economics from Trinity College.
