Collins Aerospace first established its Irish footprint in 1988 with a maintenance, repair and overhaul center in Shannon, as part of a strategically located global services network. Then, in 2009 in Cork, as a key contributor to Collins' Applied Research & Technology capability.
Collins Aerospace in Shannon is a world leader in the repair of electrical generator components for commercial aircraft. Our center of excellence is responsible for electrical rewind repairs for all major commercial aircraft platforms and supports customers to include major airlines, maintenance and repair organizations, as well as distributors covering North and South America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
With over 300 active part numbers on its capability list, Collins Aerospace in Shannon offers customers an unrivalled range of repairs of electrical generator components, actuators, fans, pumps and motors. The site has expanded its portfolio of repairs to include components within the environmental and air control systems for the North American OEM, Boeing 787 fleet.
Collins Aerospace in Cork features capabilities in applied research and technology (ART) and is part of a global technology and open innovation resource team spanning Europe, U.S. and Asia. ART leverages combined engineering expertise across all of RTX to create differentiated systems-level solutions across a range of disciplines.
