    Operational efficiency

    • Operate your aircraft beyond the limitations of airport infrastructure
    • Improved traffic flow and efficiency at hub airports
    • Reduce grounded, delayed, or rerouted flights due to current or forecast weather conditions

    Hardware technology makes a difference

    EVS hardware technology

Collins EVS-3600 offers multi-spectral imagery on your head-up display or Head-up Guidance System (HGS), increasing situational awareness and safety during any phase of your flight. Pilots can see through rain, fog or other low-visibility conditions with a real-time image of their surrounding environment. This advanced visual capability greatly improves safety margins, especially during approach, landing and takeoff.

With leading-edge technology, Collins EVS-3600 makes flying easier. Pilots gain 33% operational credit in CAT II or CAT III weather conditions, allowing approaches and landing below the normal decision altitude (DA) or decision height (DH). From takeoff to landing, Collins EFVS increases pilot confidence and keeps passengers safer – even in the worst weather conditions.

    Lightweight design for multiple platforms

Now certified for Boeing 737 Next Generation (NG), Collins EVS-3600 will soon be certified for the Boeing 737 MAX. Other certified platforms include Bombardier Global 7500 and Challenger 350. Collins family of EVS sensors are also certified on the Embraer Praetor and have sole-source status on the Airbus A320 and A350 family of aircraft.

Designed for performance, EVS-3600 is more aerodynamic and lighter weight than other EFVS on the market – and does not create distracting wind noise in the flight deck.

    High return on investment

Collins EVS-3600 is a proven solution for operational efficiency. Pilots flying aircraft equipped with EVS‐3600 may take advantage of the lower operating minima for enhanced flight vision systems (EFVS) approach and landing regulations – enabling approach ban relief where authorized.

Investing in your pilots’ advanced visual capabilities and situational awareness provides a high return on investment (ROI) and adds value to your flight operations. Your EFVS equipped fleet's traffic will flow more efficiently with fewer accidents, delays and cancellations.

Collins EVS-3600 provides operational savings, including:

    • Lower fuel costs due to reduced weather-related delays and diversions
    • Fewer passenger accommodations for delayed or canceled flights
    • Minimize repairs from hard landings, obstacle collisions or other accidental damage
    • Decrease maintenance costs from wear and tear on wheels, tires, brakes, flaps and engines
