Kent Statler


Kent Statler heads Collins Aerospace’s Avionics strategic business unit, based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In this role, he is responsible for advancing aviation electronics and information management solutions in the flight deck and cabin for commercial and military customers around the world.

He brings more than 30 years of experience to his current position at Collins Aerospace. Kent was most recently executive vice president and chief operating officer for Rockwell Collins’ Commercial Systems division (2010-2018), as well as executive vice president of Services (2005-2010) and senior vice president of Operations (2003-2005), among other previously held leadership roles.

With his customer-driven mindset and passion for collaborating across organizations, Kent has led key milestone accomplishments over his career. His many noteworthy accomplishments include: top honors for customer service from the world’s largest original equipment manufacturers; major avionics wins across high-growth, next-generation air transport platforms; and the introduction of transformational technologies in the flight deck and cabin.

Kent continues this focus at Collins Aerospace, where he is responsible for bringing teams together to provide safer, more connected and intelligent
solutions to a broad range of aircraft platforms.

A native of Waverly, Iowa, Kent earned his Bachelor of Science degree in manufacturing management and economics from the University of Northern Iowa and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa. He is a member of the University of Iowa’s Tippie School of Business advisory board, director for the General Aviation Manufacturing Associations (GAMA), a trustee for Big Brothers Big Sisters and a trustee for Kirkwood Community College.
