Collins proven expertise in human spacesuit systems reached back to the Apollo missions on the moon. Our new space suit is being designed for the next generation of explorers on the lunar surface, and is designed to work seamlessly with all other systems on the lunar surface, including the Lunar Terrain Vehicle.

Working with our LTV partners, Collins is supporting the suit-to-vehicle interface including ergonomics, display systems and training.

Our offerings include:

  • Seamless Suit / vehicle integration
    • Will support overall LTV vehicle design through ergonomic analysis including operations, training support and incapacitated crew design solutions.
  • On-board consumables solution
    • Low weight, portable human consumables are designed to easily integrate into the LTV and will allow for mission extension and support emergency scenarios.
  • LTV displays and HUD solutions
    • Heritage military displays technology (HUD and fixed) will be leveraged to provide astronauts the ability to quickly view critical suit, vehicle and navigation information while operating the LTV on the lunar surface.
