Isolde Karro

Communications

Isolde Karro is the chief communications officer at Collins Aerospace. In this role, she provides executive direction and strategic management for communications programs to best position Collins with employees, customers and external partners. Today, Isolde is responsible for overall brand identity and marketing, external communications, employee communications supporting the company’s culture, along with the corporate social responsibility program. Previously, she served as executive director of Employee & President communications, driving open and authentic messaging based on conversational, newsroom-style execution.

Before joining Collins, Isolde was director of Media & Executive Communications at Corning Optical Communications, a division of Corning Incorporated, where she transformed internal, external and executive communications with a new storytelling approach, big bold graphics and real-world examples of customer benefits – delivering deeper employee and brand engagement.

Isolde previously spent 16 years working in various roles in advertising, including co-owning her own agency as chief strategist and copywriter. Managing teams of communications mavericks – designers, writers, photographers and videographers – she helped define business goals and marketing strategies that built brands, grew sales and won awards.

Isolde is an enthusiastic runner, diehard animal lover and one of Ragan’s Top Women in Communications. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
