Since 2001, Collins Aerospace has been providing state-of-the-art avionics solutions to airlines and original equipment manufacturers located in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Our key capabilities in this region are: avionics platforms; cabin systems; and systems engineering.

Collins’ involvement in the CIS started when our TCAS-II system played an integral part in efforts to modify Russian-made aircraft to meet FAA requirements for flights into U.S. and European airspace.

Today, our avionics are used on air transport, business and regional planes, as well as on foreign and Russian-made helicopters. Collins equipment is installed and operational on board the majority of airlines in the CIS countries, such as Aeroflot, Transaero, S7, Air Astana, Uzbekistan Airways and Azerbaijan Airlines.

We continue to expand our presence in the region. Our products are installed on the Antonov An-148/158 and Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft. The Pro Line 21™ CNS systems are being used on Ilyushin IL 114-100 aircraft. Navigation and communication systems are installed as basic and optional on a variety of Russian-made helicopters such as Mi-8/17 platform and Ka-226T as well as on the newest Mi-38, Ka-62 and Mi-171A2. Currently, Collins is playing an integral part in the development of the new Russian-made aircraft, MC-21.

Our Engineering Center in Moscow specializes in system and software development for new avionics systems for commercial aircraft. We also provide 24/7 access to customer service centers in the region and support business jet operators of our equipment through a network of Collins dealers, as well as complete local ground and flight support through our Information Management Services (ARINC) Group.

Collins sees many opportunities in the CIS region for its comprehensive portfolio of commercial solutions, including Pro Line Fusion® avionics systems, cabin solutions and HeliSure™ flight situational awareness solutions.
