DURACARB® Carbon Brake Technology
Our advanced carbon technology provides longer brake life, overall cost savings and enhanced safety. DURACARB® is a heat sink material that offers lighter weight without sacrificing durability. The carbon brake can deliver more landings per overhaul (LPO) than current brake offerings. These brakes operate cooler, with lower brake fluid temperatures for safer operation and longer life cycle.

Lock ring wheel
Collins provides a two-piece aluminum lock ring wheel, which offers easier overhaul maintenance as well as reduced service and labor requirements. Our patented lock ring design eliminates the need for tie bolts, providing significant time and cost savings. Since it can last longer when compared to other models, fewer replacements are needed. The lock ring wheel also enables maintenance crews to change a tire 80 percent faster. With a longer fatigue life and the latest lock ring designs, today’s military fighters and cargo aircraft can stay where they need to be-mission ready.
