Antennas and RF Distributions

Performance and durability

An effective signal intelligence system needs antennas and RF distribution tailored to the signals of interest and the mission requirements. This is especially challenging for radar signal intercept. Collins Aerospace's antenna and RF distribution products are developed and manufactured for high-performance systems for ELINT and ESM missions. These units provide the performance and the durability to meet the environmental demands of installation on aircraft, naval vessels and ground sites.

CS-1218 airborne omni-directional antenna

Collins’ CS-1218 omni-directional antenna is compact and rugged and provides a 360 degree field of view across 0.5 to 18 GHz. It is designed for airborne platforms at altitudes up to 40,000 ft. and at speeds up to 500 mph. Our CS-1218 is ideal as the aperture for a broadband spectral monitoring channel or a high probability of intercept cueing receiver. The compact size provides options when selecting a mounting location on an ISR aircraft typically crowded with other antennas.

CS-1960 and RFDU-1988 RF distribution units

Our CS-1960 and RFDU-1988 RF distribution units provide the flexibility to develop new techniques, quickly integrate federated systems and allow system upgrades with limited impact to initial investment. The 4x6 and 8x8 RF distribution units, with non-blocking switching, are sized to address a range of system applications, limited budgets and military tactics that exploit the EMS more every day.
