High performance in harsh environments

Collins Aerospace’s integrated processing computers are designed for and proven in the harshest military environments. Each of the three available models (IPC-8300, IPC-8600A and IPC-9000) offers internal graphics generation and processing, including cropping, scaling and repositioning. The IPCs each include provisions for system expansion and external Ethernet port connectivity.

IPC-8300

Collins’ IPC-8300 integrated processing computer maximizes commercial open standards and incorporates a high-integrity Ethernet switch and commercial Ethernet switch. The unit has a POSIX-compliant, partitioned commercial operating system with modular-layered software architecture. Its open architecture enables it to host third-party hardware and software within a single unit. The IPC-8300 includes an X86 processor, a powerPC-based general-purpose processor and an integrated graphics engine with multiple SMPTE-292 digital video output.

IPC-8600A

The Collins IPC-8600A provides mission computing, network data management and video switching functions proven in the most rugged military helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. The IPC-8600A is integral within the Collins Aerospace Common Avionics Architecture and Flight2™ open architecture systems.  

IPC-9000

Collins’ IPC-9000 integrated processing computer is our newest mission processor designed for the most rugged military operating environments. The unit maximizes commercial open standards and incorporates an Ethernet switch. Its open architecture can host third-party hardware and software within a single unit. It includes X86 processors, a powerPC-based general-purpose processor and integrated graphics engine with multiple SMPTE-292 digital video output.
